The Lichfield District Community Lottery is a brand new fund, and provides funding to community and voluntary organisations across the whole Lichfield district, including in Burntwood and the surrounding villages.

Eligibility
Who We Are Able to Support
This programme is able to consider applications from:
- Registered charities
- Constituted Community or Voluntary groups
- Social Enterprises
- Any other voluntary, not for profit organisation
Geographical Reach
The Lichfield District Community Lottery Fund will support organisations based in, or working for the benefit of people, in the following local authority areas;
- Lichfield District
Projects We Can Support
Your project must meet one of the following aims:
- To provide facilities or services for local people.
- To enhance the provision of service, provide new services or to help make organisations more efficient or to improve the scope of their provision. This might include extending provision to other people.
- Improve the lives of local people
- Be providing a service or facility that would otherwise not be available
- Funding can be used to cover most group start-up costs as well as equipment and materials that may be required.
In order to qualify for a grant from this scheme your project must be supporting the following types of beneficiary;
- People usually resident in the Lichfield district
- Applications from new and forming groups can be considered

Application Process
Grants Available
Grants of up to £1000 are available
Grants from the Lichfield District Community Lottery can be used for either capital or revenue projects, and can last for up to a year. It would be unusual for the fund to make an award to the same organisation for the same project two years running, unless you can demonstrate that their have been significant developments or increased demand for your project.
What to expect on the application form
You may find the following information useful, so as you are prepared when completing the application form.
- What will you do during your project / activity?
- What need or disadvantage are you trying to address?
- How will your project improve the lives of the people that engage with it?
- If you receive funding, what will happen after the funding ends?
- How does your proposed project meet the aims of the fund as set out in the criteria?
- Have your potential beneficiaries been engaged in the design of the project or activity? How do you know they want it?
- How will you measure the impact of your project or activity?
- Have you managed similar projects before? What was the impact of your work?
3) You will be asked beneficiary data, including target numbers (please be realistic with this as we will expect monitoring to reflect support)
4) Finally, you will be asked to provide a full budget breakdown to show how you will spend the grant
Documents You Need to Send Us
The following documents must be provided with your application form. If you fail to provide these documents your application will not be considered for funding. All documents should be submitted at the time of application.
- A copy of your governing document, (constitution or Memorandum and Articles of Association)
- A copy of your most recent accounts, (audited or independently examined)
- A recent bank statement, (dated within the last three months clearly showing account number and sort code)
- A copy of your safeguarding policy
- At least three quotes for any capital items
Submission Dates
June 2025 panel – Applications submitted by 1st June 2025 will be considered at a panel meeting in June
